Description

Priory Hospital Solihull is looking to recruit a Bank Healthcare Assistant to join the team. This is a bank role. Located in Meriden, Warwickshire, Priory Hospital Solihull is a 31-bedded hospital supporting the NHS by offering level 2 rehabilitation services for males.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.

  • Assists qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed to facilitate the wellbeing, dignity and treatment of all patients.
  • Provides practical support and responsive care to patients who require assistance with intimate personal needs such as dressing, bathing and toileting activities ensuring that such activities comply with procedures and the relevant healthcare legislation.
  • Observes and monitors the wellbeing of patients ensuring that any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences are promptly referred to senior staff/the primary nurse and documented as appropriate.

What you'll bring to the role

Educated to a minimum of NVQ Level 1 or GCSEs in Mathematics and English, with a clear understanding of the importance of maintaining strict confidentiality. Demonstrates basic IT literacy, with no specific previous experience required.
