Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children with complex health needs.
  • Minimum of 1 year working with children in other settings, e.g., nursery, respite service.
  • Ability to learn theoretical and practical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care to children with complex health needs.
  • Communicate effectively with families and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Administer medication and maintain clinical equipment.

Skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to relate and create rapport with children
Understanding of complex care needs
Experience working with children with additional needs
British Sign Language level 1
Makaton

Education

NVQ 3 in health or social care or recognized nursery nurse qualification
