About the Role

This is an exciting time to join the team as we transform the way we deliver HR services across the council. Our Workforce Service is seeking a Workforce Analyst to support the drive for an evidence-based approach to practice and a move to support strategic workforce planning across the council. You will play a vital role in supporting data-driven decision making by providing valuable insights to the Workforce function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collecting, analysing and interpreting HR data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for improving HR processes and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain HR dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
  • Work with stakeholders across the organisation to understand data needs and produce customised reports and analytics.
  • Keep up to date with HR trends, benchmarks and best practice to enhance analytics capability.
About You
  • Experience in a HR data analyst or similar role, with expertise in HR data analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR processes, metrics and KPIs.
  • Experience of using data visualisation tools, such as PowerBi.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling and analysing HR data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience of communicating with people at all levels.
  • A proven ability to work on your own initiative, managing and prioritising workload to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Confidence and skill when presenting information to different audiences.
