Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experienced HR generalist with a track record in handling employee relations cases.
  • Experience in an office-based sector.
  • Experience in a similar-sized organisation (250-500 people).
  • Ability to manage complex and sensitive ER matters.
  • Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on complex employee relations matters.
  • Manage short- and long-term absence cases.
  • Attend and support employee relations meetings.
  • Produce accurate documentation including meeting notes.
  • Create and update HR policies for compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes.
  • Deliver training sessions to build manager capability.
  • Provide coaching to managers on HR issues.
  • Support wider HR operations and onboarding.
  • Maintain confidential employee records.

Skills

CIPD Level 5 qualified
Strong and up-to-date knowledge of employment law
Proven ability to manage ER cases independently
Strong knowledge of HR best practices
Confident in influencing and partnering with stakeholders
Proficiency with HRIS (preferably Dayforce)

Overview of the role

We are nowvery excitedto grow that team further by hiring a newHRAdvisor whowill provide high-quality, commercially focussed HR support across the organisation.

What will you be doing?
  • Advise and support managers on complex employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinaries (up to and including dismissal), investigations, probationreviewsand absence management.
  • Manage short- and long-term absence cases, including Occupational Health referrals and interpretation of recommendations.
  • Attend and support employee relations meetings and hearings, ensuring fairness,consistencyand policy compliance.
  • Produceaccuratedocumentation, including meeting notes and outcome letters.
  • Create, review and update HR policies to ensure legal compliance and alignment with best practice.
  • Support the communication and effective embedding of HR policies and processes across the business.
  • Identifyopportunities to improve and streamline HR processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver training sessions and workshops to build manager capability and confidence in handling people matters.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on HR policies and employee issues.
  • Support wider HR operations, including onboarding, engagement initiatives, annual HRprocessesand organisational change activity.
  • Maintainaccurateand confidential employee records in line with data protection requirements.

What are we looking for?

The right person for this role willbe an experienced HR generalistwith a fantastictrack recordin handling employee relations cases. We will be looking for somebody who has experience working in a similar office-based sector and within a similar-sized organisation(250-500 people) in a role that has a broad level of responsibility.

Key Skills& Experience:
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified
  • Strong and up-to-date knowledge of employment law
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices
  • Proven ability to manage ER cases independently, including complex and sensitive matters.
  • Confident in influencing and partnering with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiencywith HRIS (preferably Dayforce)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Experience working in the IT industry would be abigbonus!
