Rate: £27 per hour umbrella equivalent

Overview

The Trust is seeking a Band 6 Diagnostic Radiographer to provide high-quality imaging services within an acute NHS hospital setting. The postholder will work as part of a multidisciplinary radiology team, delivering safe, effective and patient-centred diagnostic imaging services in line with Trust policies and national standards.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a full range of diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with departmental protocols
• Ensure safe use of ionising radiation in line with IR(ME)R regulations
• Deliver high standards of patient care, dignity and communication
• Work efficiently within a busy imaging department to meet service demands
• Maintain accurate clinical records using RIS / PACS systems
• Adhere to clinical governance, infection prevention and health & safety policies
• Contribute to service continuity and support team-based working

Essential Requirements

• HCPC registered Diagnostic Radiographer
• NHS experience at Band 6 level
• Competence in general radiography within an acute hospital environment
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and IR(ME)R
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and professional standards
