We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and proactive professional to join our Education Improvement Team. This is an exciting time to be part of our service as we transform the way we support, challenge, and collaborate with schools, empowering them to deliver high‑quality education for all learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with school leadership teams to deliver effective school improvement.
  • Guide a team of associate advisers supporting our work in schools.
  • Make a real difference to children attending a wide range of schools across Nottinghamshire, many of whom live in areas of high deprivation and face challenging circumstances.
  • Contribute to our future programme of support and build on new approaches, including the use of technology to provide a flexible, efficient, and effective approach to school improvement.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Serve as the first point of contact within the service and oversee your allocated area, ensuring all stakeholders have access to up-to-date knowledge of context, provision, and outcomes across the districts.
  • Use a range of validated data and contextual information to accurately identify school improvement needs.
  • Establish effective, collaborative working relationships with school leaders to facilitate both support and challenge.
  • Think strategically and lead and coordinate a variety of improvement packages across the districts.
  • Lead CPD in key areas for all publicly funded schools in the county.
  • Hold sharply focused conversations with OFSTED inspectors and other stakeholders.
  • Play an active role in shaping the future of the Education Improvement Team during this critical time of transformation.
  • Full UK Drivers licence.
