A community primary school in Brook is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEN/D). Brook Community Primary School - A Small School on a Big Adventure - is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our wonderful, dedicated team.
We are looking for a part-time (days and hours negotiable) Teaching Assistant to support children with SEN/D.
This is a part-time position, term-time only, pro-rata. The hours are 8:45am until 3:15pm. The post is temporary until August 2026 but potentially could be extended depending on the changing needs of the school.
The ideal applicant will be passionate about providing inclusive, nurturing support so our pupils flourish, both academically and personally. They should have a good understanding of child development and of how children learn, and be able to enthuse, engage and challenge children in their learning journey. The applicant should understand neurodiversity and be able to effectively support children with regulation and managing their emotions.
We are looking for a TA who understands the many benefits of working in a small, rural school, for example, our family ethos, but also has a good understanding of the challenges, such as mixed-age classes.
You must be prepared to work both indoors and outdoors in order to support learners in a range of environments as we make use of our beautiful surroundings.

Brook CP School will carry out an online search as part of their due diligence on any shortlisted candidates. This may help identify any incidents or issues that have happened, and are publicly available online, which we might want to explore with an applicant at interview. This information will be kept on file for 6 months, in line with data protection procedures. The panel will ensure we meet our duty under the Equality Act, 2010.
