As a Senior Onshore Survey Technician within our Asset Integrity team, you will play a key role in ensuring survey equipment and bespoke project builds are prepared, managed, and delivered to perform in demanding operational environments. You will take responsibility for the planning and execution of allocated project builds, combining hands-on technical expertise and project coordination to ensure equipment is delivered on time and to specification.
- Inspect, test, repair, assemble, and prepare stand-alone and integrated subsea survey equipment and bespoke solution packages in line with manufacturer, regulatory, and company standards.
- Project manage allocated equipment and project builds, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to specification.
- Prepare, test, label, document, photograph, and professionally present equipment for hire, ensuring it is fully functional and complete.
- Off-hire and test equipment returned from hire in accordance with workshop procedures, documenting any missing or damaged items.
- Carry out electrical safety testing and ensure all test and measurement equipment used for calibration remains within certification.
- Ensure equipment is stored correctly and safely, and package and secure equipment to meet transport and export requirements.
- Complete work orders, customer records, and export documentation accurately within the ERP system.
- Supervise, train, and mentor Trainee and Workshop Technicians, assessing competence and signing off training and competency logbooks.
- Provide technical support to customers and internal sales teams
- Travel offshore or dockside to support client requirements and participate in an on-call support rotation.
- Undertake additional ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Workshop Manager or Team Lead
- Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or other technical discipline and/or equivalent industry experience.
- Track record of experience in a Senior Technician or Engineering role undertaking repair, maintenance, assembly and testing of electronic equipment, preferably in a subsea environment.
- Extensive knowledge of subsea equipment.
- Problem-solving capabilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work offshore and or dockside as and when needed, for example to operate or service equipment on behalf of a client.
