Position Description
The DealCloud Implementation Principal is responsible for leading and supporting the end-to-end delivery, optimisation, and ongoing support of DealCloud across the organisation. The role blends daily application support (which is critical), project management, hands-on configuration, data stewardship, and stakeholder engagement to ensure the platform is adopted effectively and continuously improved to meet business needs.
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and technical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and experience implementing and supporting DealCloud in a financial services or investment management environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Implementation
- Lead DealCloud implementation workstreams, ensuring delivery on scope, timeline, and quality. The platform is fully operational and a key enabler for expanding client and product offering
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, configuration tasks, and structured implementation plans.
- Configure DealCloud entities, workflows, dashboards, reporting and integrations in line with business needs.
- Coordinate data migration activities, including data mapping, cleansing, validation, and testing.
- Run UAT cycles: prepare test scripts, support end-user testing, track defects, and manage remediation efforts.
- Ensure technical and procedural documentation is created and maintained.
- Partner closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver enhancements and project rollouts.
Application Support & Administration
- Act as technical support for DealCloud, troubleshooting issues, analysing root causes, and liaising with the vendor when needed.
- Maintain platform stability and performance through proactive monitoring and administrative best practices.
- Manage user provisioning, permissions, security policies, and data governance procedures.
- Maintain system configurations, workflows, validations, and automated processes.
- Track, prioritise, and resolve support tickets within agreed SLAs.
- Identify opportunities to enhance platform usability, efficiency, and automation.
- Lead configuration changes that enable smoother processes across investment, research, operations, and client teams.
- Evaluate new DealCloud functionality and recommend adoption where beneficial.
- Lead the firm’s data quality management efforts partnering with Data Operations, establishing governance rules, running audits, partnering with teams on remediation, and implementing automated controls to ensure DealCloud remains a reliable, trusted source of truth.
Stakeholder Management & Communications
- Build strong relationships with business users to understand needs and maintain alignment.
- Facilitate regular stakeholder updates on project milestones, risks, timelines, and enhancement roadmaps.
- Engage with senior leaders to gather strategic requirements and socialise platform improvements.
- Translate complex technical matters into clear business-friendly language.
Training & Change Management
- Develop and deliver training programs, guides, and release notes to drive user adoption.
- Support the change-management agenda for new features, processes, and releases.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to users, helping embed best practices in workflow design and data capture.
Other
- Be responsible for ensuring all information security processes, policies and procedures are adhered to and any issues or concerns are raised with the Cyber Security team.
- Ensure full compliance with all local data protection regulations and privacy controls, and any related issues are raised via the appropriate channels.
Required Skills & Experience
- Approximately 5-7 years’ experience in DealCloud / CRM implementation or administration (DealCloud strongly preferred).
- Experience in financial services, private equity, investment management, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of pipeline management, deal workflows, fund structures, relationship management, and reporting.
- Proficiency in system configuration, data modelling, dashboard/report building, and process automation.
- Experience delivering technical projects and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- SQL, Power BI, or other analytics experience.
- Exposure to integrations, APIs, ETL processes, or middle-/back-office systems.
- Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) beneficial.
- Experience working with external vendors or implementation partners.
