Geophysicists (Workshop Supervisor) support the company’s technical operations and facilities management by working on, and supervising, associated projects and tasks. Activities may cover a broad range of IT, electronics, facilities, equipment maintenance and development, or other workshop-related tasks.
Capacity for fieldwork should average 40-50% of the time, with an emphasis on non-standard projects or staff training and development, as necessary. Geophysicist (Workshop Supervisor) are responsible for ensuring their office-based and fieldwork activities hit or exceed targets and deadlines. In the field, they are responsible for leading the planning on survey strategies during fieldwork, including large, complex, and non-standard projects.
Additionally, Geophysicist (Workshop Supervisor) will play a key role in staff development and training. This role will also entail line management and/or mentoring of junior staff.
