Job summary

A leading mental health and learning disabilities trust in the UK is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS to join their forward-looking team. The successful candidate will be responsible for mental health assessments and managing treatment plans for children and adolescents. This role offers the opportunity for leadership within a multidisciplinary team and contributions to service development. A GMC registration and relevant qualifications are mandatory. The position will be based in Newton Aycliffe, with flexible working options available.

Qualifications

• Experience with ADHD, ASD, Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders.
• GMC registration required at the time of appointment.
• Ability to undertake a leadership role in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health assessment and holistic care plans for patients up to 18 years.
• Conduct new patient assessments and follow care pathways.
• Lead teaching and training for undergraduates and postgraduates.

Skills

Excellent knowledge in specialty

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

Clinical experience relevant to job role

Ability to manage clinical complexity

Education

MB BS or equivalent medical qualification

Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise

MRCPsych or equivalent postgraduate qualification
