A leading engineering firm in the UK is seeking a CAD Engineer to join its Product Development department. The successful candidate will work closely with a team to design and develop Chiller products from concept to production. Key responsibilities include producing drawings, creating 3D models, designing pipe-work, and managing projects according to APQP standards. Candidates should have relevant education in engineering or science, hands-on product and sheet metal design experience, and proficiency with CAD software. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a CAD Engineer to work in the Product Development department. The role involves working closely with a team of mechanical, electrical, controls, manufacturing and quality engineers to design and develop the structural framework and packaging of new standard Chiller products from concept through to production manufacture whilst maintaining the existing portfolio.

Although a high base level of CAD knowledge Siemens Team Centre or similar PLM software will be beneficial, training will be provided for the right applicant to develop the skills and knowledge required for the position.
