A leading warehouse automation firm in the United Kingdom is looking for a Service Technician to maintain and enhance automated systems. You will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring optimal performance. This role requires strong technical skills and a customer-focused mindset, with a willingness to travel across the UK. The position offers a hybrid working model and permanent employment.
As a Service Technician, you’ll be the hands-on expert keeping our customers’ automated warehouse systems running at their best. You’ll perform maintenance, troubleshoot and repair technical equipment, and ensure optimal performance every day. You’ll also install new systems and expansions and take part in commissioning projects. Your work will have a direct impact on our customers’ success — helping them get the most value from their investment while shaping the future of warehouse automation.
Perform scheduled maintenance tasks in line with Element Logic’s manuals, standards, and procedures.
Troubleshoot, repair, and replace equipment components using Element Logic’s detailed service processes.
Accurately document all completed work and communicate updates to the back-office team and team leader.
Prepare clear service visit reports and TODs for customers, ensuring transparency and quality follow-up.
Build strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs and highlighting the value of preventive maintenance.
Manage spare parts inventory for service vans, customer sites, and internal stock to ensure operational readiness.
2+ years of relevant experience in automation, robotics, conveyor systems, or a similar field.
Electrical knowledge – you can fault-find, read, and interpret electrical schematics.
Mechanical competence – assembling, maintaining, and understanding mechanical systems comes naturally to you.
Remote troubleshooting skills - you can search for and implement solutions via the software tools provided.
Certifications – MEWP 3A &3B along with FLT (reach/counterbalance) are preferred.
HSE – Recognized experience with RAMS, and an ability to edit and amend.
You’re tech-savvy – ready to master our proprietary software and use your IT skills to get the job done efficiently.
IT/PC literate.
This role requires a willingness to travel to customer sites across the UK.
