Job summary

A leading construction firm seeks an experienced General Foreman in Leeds to manage construction activities on civil engineering projects. You will supervise teams, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and maintain project quality within budgetary constraints. Ideal candidates will possess significant experience in civil engineering, a CSCS gold card, and outstanding communication skills. This role offers a chance to be pivotal in the successful completion of large infrastructure schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivery of large civil engineering schemes, including Highways, Drainage and Structures.
• Good IT skills with knowledge in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
• Holds a CSCS card – minimum gold standard.
• SMSTS qualified and preferred training in Confined Space and Street Works.
• Possesses a UK driving license, clean or low on points.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities across civil engineering projects.
• Ensure all works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Manage supervision of direct labour and subcontractor teams effectively.
• Track and document daily work productions and maintain excellent site records.
