Technical Support Officer (Electrical) Part-Time – 3 Days per Week
CORGI Technical Services is seeking a competent and detail-focused Electrical Technical Support Officer to support our electrical quality control and auditing services across the UK social housing and FM sectors. The role will primarily involve the technical verification, quality review, and closure of electrical audits ensuring compliance with relevant standards and providing first-line support to clients and auditors.
This position will suit an individual with a strong understanding of electrical inspection, testing, and reporting, and who is comfortable working in accordance with applicable legislation, recognised electrical standards, and internal audit and quality assurance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical review and verification of electrical audit reports
- Quality-checking audit findings, classifications and supporting evidence.
- Ensuring audits align with applicable legislation, standards, and internal procedures.
- Closing audits within internal system following satisfactory technical verification
- Identifying omissions, inconsistencies, or non-conformances and feeding back to auditors
- Supporting consistency and standardisation across audit outputs
- Support auditor recruitment and onboarding.
- Maintain accurate records and support quality and compliance reporting.
- Assist the Electrical Technical Consultant with day-to-day support activities, including review and closure of electrical audits.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Time-served electrical qualifications (City & Guilds or equivalent).
- 18th Edition (City & Guilds 2382-18 or equivalent).
- City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent with practical testing experience.
- Sound working knowledge of electrical inspection and testing in domestic environments.
- Good understanding of BS 7671 and associated guidance
- Experience reviewing EICRs.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to technical assurance
- Ability to work independently.
- Confident written communication skills.
- Previous experience in audit, QA, or technical assurance roles
- Familiarity with electrical audit or compliance portals
