A veterinary practice in Central Scotland is seeking a Veterinary Care Assistant to join its dedicated team. The role involves patient handling, processing lab samples, and managing reception duties, including phone calls and cash handling. Candidates must have strong communication skills, be proactive, and able to work well independently or as part of a team. We are looking for a Veterinary Care Assistant to join our fantastic team here at Bruceview Vets. The role has a wide range of responsibilities such as patient handling, process lab samples, cleaning within the practice and manage the cleaning and sterilisation of equipment and instruments. There will be some reception work in the role, managing phone calls and cash handling.
This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week. You will be working 4 x 8 hour shifts and 1 x 7 hour shift. There will be Saturdays involved which is 1 in 4 from 9:00am-1:00pm. Split shifts could be an option, however a 7:00pm finish is a must.
We are seeking a proactive, enthusiastic and approachable individual who thrives as part of a team but can also work independently with initiative and self- motivation. Strong communication skills, along with the ability to multi-task and adapt, are essential.
Bruceview is an RCVS accredited small animal practice in Central Scotland. It is a modern and well-equipped practice with three consult rooms and separate cat and dog wards. We focus on providing excellent client and patient care and provide all usual services including Dental x-ray and acupuncture. We are in beautiful Central Scotland, close to The Battle of Bannockburn Visitor Centre, Stirling Castle and Wallace Monument.
Our team consist of 10 Vets, 7 Nurses, 5 Support Staff. We have certificate holders amongst our team who specialise in Dentistry and Pain Management. Our ideal candidate will be hard working, good at multi-tasking and above all a team player.
