A private employer in Worthing seeks a compassionate Personal Assistant to support a neurodiverse individual with activities such as photography, shopping, and transportation. The ideal candidate will have experience with high functioning autism and possess excellent interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. Flexibility and reliability are essential, along with a non-smoker status due to medical reasons. The position may be offered on either an employed or self-employed basis depending on agreement.
12 hrs a week, over 3 days (days/times TBD)
Do you have an interest in photography and going for walks? My daughter needs support to leave the house and engage in her passion of photography.
I am looking for a kind and compassionate personal assistant with experience of supporting people with high functioning autism. Other aspects of the work will include some shopping for food, supporting to have meals, either at home or out and about, and going to appointments and activities.
Must have a heartfelt commitment to all things that come under the umbrella of diversity and inclusion as my daughter is neurodiverse and part of the LGBTQ+ community.
Non-smoker due to medical reasons
All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required.
If you are successful in your application for this position, you will be either engaged directly or employed by the individual employer and not by Independent Lives. The role may be offered on an employed or self-employed basis, depending on the suitability and agreement with the employer. If the role is employed, you will be entitled to holiday pay and issued an employment contract.
