A leading provider of summer school study holidays in Greater London is seeking qualified EFL teachers for June to August 2026. This role offers 15-30 hours per week, with competitive pay of £23.01 to £24.46 per contact hour, depending on experience. Teachers will benefit from ready-made lesson materials, comprehensive support, and opportunities for CPD and career advancement within year-round schools. Applicants must be EFL/TESOL qualified and have the right to work in the UK.
Are you qualified to teach EFL and free between June to August 2026? Gain or expand your classroom teaching experience in our central London school, as part of Stafford House Study Holidays. Experienced and newly qualified teachers are welcome.
Whether you hold a relevant EFL qualification, a PGCE, or an equivalent qualification in English, Primary Education, or Modern Foreign Languages, we have a range of opportunities from 15-30 hours per week. You are also welcome to take part in activities and excursions, paid at an additional rate.
We are a British Council accredited, leading provider of summer school study holidays. We welcome 6,000 young international learners each summer. Our mission is to help students improve their English, while having a fun and unforgettable holiday. Our students experience engaging classroom lessons and a lively program of activities and excursions. It’s a great opportunity to work with a range of ages, levels of ability and students from a multi-cultural environment.
Small class sizes: 15 students on average and students vary in age from 12-17, depending on centre and course booked.
Ready-made lesson materials: These are provided to align with our syllabus. There are also comprehensive teacher notes available for you to use to reduce planning times.
DELTA/Training Incentives: You are welcome to attend a free CPD EFL teaching course ahead of starting work. In addition, qualifying teachers may apply for a free DELTA 1 Module post summer. There are also a range of online CPD sessions that are available to you. T&Cs apply to our incentives — ask us for more information.
Experience: It’s the ideal opportunity to gain or further your CELTA or PGCE teaching experience as you will be welcomed and supported by a highly experienced academic leadership team. This is an especially attractive opportunity for NQTs/ECTs, as we offer weekly CPD sessions. We further support you with observations and appraisals.
We support you: We have an experienced academic management team who return to our centres year-on-year. We also have a dedicated Academic & Training Manager and Academic Advisor who are available throughout the summer.
Career opportunities: There is the potential for opportunities reaching beyond our summer schools, in our year-round schools in Cambridge, Canterbury and London.
All teaching qualifications must include a minimum of 6-hours observed teaching practice as part of their course. This will be evidenced in your qualification transcript. We are unable to accept certificates without this, in line with Accreditation UK standards.
