A leading university located in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Manager for Indigenous Services to lead a specialist team in Indigenising library practices and advancing reconciliation initiatives. The role involves oversight of Indigenous cultural materials, relationship building with stakeholders, and providing culturally appropriate support. As Manager, Indigenous Services, you will lead a specialist team to Indigenise library practices and advance reconciliation across collections, services and staff culture.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Services and Engagement, you will lead a team that provides culturally appropriate support to students, staff, and community members through services, collection development, cultural programming, research assistance, learning support, and community engagement and outreach.
You will lead implementation of frameworks and training for culturally appropriate library services and collections.
