A leading defense organization in Plymouth is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex projects with a multidisciplinary team. The role offers hybrid working arrangements, requiring 35 hours a week split between office and home. Candidates must have a strong background in project management and the ability to engage with various stakeholders. Though leadership experience is vital, the successful candidate will also be expected to manage budgets and risks effectively as part of high-stakes projects in a defense environment. Further, a pivotal requirement includes the ability to obtain necessary security clearance.

As a Project Manager, you’ll be at the heart of a nationally significant programme spanning more than 20 years, delivering activities that haven’t been undertaken in the UK for decades and supporting one of the most specialised stages of the submarine lifecycle.
Day-to-day, you’ll lead a defined scope of work, managing multidisciplinary teams and collaborating closely with engineering, operations, planning, finance, subcontractors and regulators. Your work will shape the successful delivery of complex projects and provide outstanding career development in a major defence environment.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.
The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
