About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Family Solicitor (3–5 years’ PQE) with strong Legal Aid experience to join our established, community-focused firm. This is an exceptional opportunity for a solicitor who wants meaningful responsibility, a supportive environment, and a genuine pathway into firm leadership.

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload, contribute to departmental development, and—if they wish—step directly into a Director/Shareholder role.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling a full range of Family Law matters, including public and private children work, domestic abuse, care proceedings, and Legal Aid cases
• Conducting advocacy where appropriate
• Ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements and maintaining excellent file management
• Supervising junior staff and supporting team development
• Participating in firm-wide management and strategic planning (for those seeking Director/Shareholder status)

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years’ PQE as a practising solicitor
• Strong background in Family Legal Aid
• Confident, organised, and able to manage a busy caseload independently
• Solid management and leadership skills, or a clear desire to develop them
• A calm, client‑centred approach with excellent communication
• Ambition to progress into a senior leadership role
