A prominent healthcare institution in the UK is seeking an experienced dietitian to join its Adult Weight Management team. The role involves delivering evidence-based interventions for complex obesity management, supporting workforce training, and collaborating with health board teams. Candidates should possess broad dietetic experience, excellent communication skills, and preferably a behavioral approach to motivation. Welsh language skills are desirable but not mandatory. There is a rare opportunity to join the well established Adult Weight Management team in Hywel Dda University Health Board. We are looking for an experienced dietitian who is passionate about supporting people living with complex obesity related health needs. The successful applicant will be part of a multi-professional service delivering a range of evidence based and compassion focussed dietetic and multi-professional interventions to people living with complex obesity, whilst working closely with the wider Health Board Nutrition & Dietetics teams. The successful applicant will demonstrate considerable and broad adult dietetic experience, have excellent communication skills and be ready to work pro-actively as part of enthusiastic, hard working teams. They will have experience of a behavioural approach to motivating change.
Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties. We have over 13,000 staff and together we provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services. We work in partnership with three local authorities, as well as public, private and third sector colleagues, including our valued team of volunteers.
Our services are provided in four main hospitals: Bronglais Hospital (Aberystwyth); Glangwili Hospital (Carmarthen); Prince Philip Hospital (Llanelli); and Withybush Hospital (Haverfordwest). We also have five community hospitals, two integrated care centres, and numerous general practices, dental practices, community pharmacies, general ophthalmic practices, and ophthalmic domiciliary providers. Mental health and learning disability services are also available.
