The London Archives (TIA) is the largest local government archive repository in the United Kingdom. Based in Clerkenwell and administered by the City of London, its holdings run to around 100km of papers, books, photos, maps, prints and films from 1067 to the present.
It records the history of London and Londoners, and is a free public research service, open to anyone who wants to delve into any aspect of London's past. Visitors include researchers, students, family historians, community groups and also exhibition and event visitors.
LA's on site research facilities are complemented exhibitions and a busy programme of events and workshops. Online, TLA publishes digital content to a number of different websites, including the London Picture Archive, which it owns and manages, and three busy social media channels. Looking to recruit a Digital Marketing apprentice to support publicity and marketing for its services across all platforms including digital. The apprenticeship will be based in the Digital Content & Development team at TLA. The responsibilities of the team include digitisation of original archives in a wide range of formats, as well as the provision of digital resources including web platforms and social media channels, and the creation of exhibitions and displays.
This apprenticeship role is based at The London Archives and will last for 18 months (including time to complete your End Point Assessment).
