The Role:

We’re looking for a motivated Industrial Designer to join our growing design team and help bring physical products to life from early concepts through to manufacture.

This role is ideal for a creative, detail oriented designer with hands on experience in product development and a solid understanding of design for manufacture (DfM). You’ll be involved across the full design process, contributing to real products within the tools market.

Key Responsibilities:
What you’ll do:
  • Supporting product development from concept sketching to CAD, prototyping and manufacture ready assets
  • Creating 2D and 3D drawings suitable for prototyping and supplier engagement
  • Developing design intent documentation and technical files
  • Participating in design reviews and problem solving with the wider team
  • Researching materials, processes and user trends
  • Collaborating with other departments when required
  • Preparing presentation materials, including renders and visualisations
  • Managing design files, samples and documentation
  • Conducting end user research via focus groups and occasional site visits
What we’re looking for:
  • Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Engineering or related field
  • Demonstrable experience in physical product design
  • Strong grasp of form, ergonomics, CMF and user centred design
  • Working knowledge of DfM (e.g. injection moulding, sheet metal, simple assemblies)
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, KeyShot, Adobe CC (or similar)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Comfortable commuting to our Shoreditch office 2-3 days per week
  • A strong portfolio showing clear design thinking and decision making
  • Experience in structural packaging or POS display design
  • Sustainability focused design or material selection experience
  • Experience working directly with suppliers or manufacturers
  • Design experience in construction focused tools
