Perinatal Pelvic Health Services (PPHS) lead the delivery of NHS England's goal to improve the prevention, early identification, and treatment of 'mild to moderate' pelvic floor dysfunction after childbirth, reducing long-term postnatal issues.
Since 2021, South East London LMNS has been an early adopter of this initiative, with services now operational across Guy's and St Thomas' (GSTT), King's College Hospital (KCH), and Lewisham and Greenwich Trust (LGT). In 2023, South East London PPHS was awarded the Royal College of Midwives' Partnership & Team Working award for its innovative service.
We are seeking a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist to clinically lead PPHS across GSTT, KCH, and LGT in line with the National Perinatal Pelvic Health Service Specification. The successful candidate will provide specialist training to maternity and physiotherapy staff, coordinate work with partners, and ensure that new pathways are embedded within maternity services. Continuous evaluation will be crucial to meet local needs.
Ideal candidates are curious, service-focused, and committed to clinical excellence and innovation, supporting the integration with other of services. This permanent role, hosted by GSTT, involves working across multiple sites with a blend of homeworking and clinics at GSTT and Guy's Hospital with occasional travel to KCH and LGT.

The PPHS team includes specialist pelvic health midwives, physiotherapists and admin staff, working across three maternity providers. We actively collaborate with colleagues throughout our organisation and across the wider system.
