Health & Safety Officer (Part-Time) – Exciting Opportunity in a Growing Business

Castle Manufacturing is delighted to be recruiting for a Health & Safety Officer. This is a permanent role based on site near Howden.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to senior leaders and line managers on Health & Safety policies, safe operating procedures, and risk assessments.
  • Support HR and Technical teams in preparation for external audits and compliance requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain workplace health and safety plans in line with legal guidelines.
  • Prepare and enforce policies to establish and sustain a strong safety culture.
  • Conduct regular inspections of practices, facilities, equipment, and operations to ensure compliance.
  • Manage statutory safety inspections.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and preventative actions.
Candidate Requirements
  • NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • Membership of IOSH.
  • Extensive and up-to-date knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Previous experience in health and safety management.
