To undertake the role of the Clinical nurse specialist (CNS) utilising specialist clinical knowledge to inform decision making and clinical judgment by independently managing the care of patients who wish to travel to other countries utilising high levels of specialist clinical assessment, decision making and clinical judgement to formulate appropriate vaccination and treatment plans. This post holder will provide specialist advice and support for clients to aid in their decision making when travelling to countries in which additional vaccination or specialist travel medicines are required or recommended.

Provide specialist advice to healthcare professionals, other agencies, carers, clients and relatives.

Support the development of the service to improve practice and work collaboratively across healthcare boundaries, implementing and evaluating evidence- based standards, guidelines and policies.
