A global leader in customer engagement seeks a Commercial Market Director for Mexico. This role involves driving revenue, developing market strategies, and cultivating strategic relationships. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in senior leadership roles within a global environment. A strong track record in business development, client management, and a clear understanding of the local consumer market is essential. We are seeking a Commercial Market Director-Mexico to drive overall revenue, gross margin, and market development, while representing all Collinson International offerings in the market.
Strategic Planning:
In collaboration with appropriate stakeholders, identify growth opportunities in the region to expand the company’s footprint.
Review, recommend, formalize and execute the market strategy.
Continuously monitor the competitive landscape and adapt strategies accordingly.
Market Propositions and Launches:
Identify trends and consumer needs for the market supporting the development of group strategies, products, and propositions.
Capture market-specific client and prospect requirements to share with relevant stakeholders across the business.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into tailored propositions.
Work with Product and Technology to support the delivery of products and services meeting market requirements.
Support the successful launch of new offerings onto the market.
Strategic Relationships:
Identify and execute new strategic relationships to enhance market penetration and expand the company’s reach.
Build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with key market stakeholders to drive business development opportunities.
Cultivate senior strategic relationships with key decision makers and influencers in key verticals and industry bodies/associations.
Business Development:
Support market level business development targets and goals for group propositions and services.
Support and contribute to regional/global pitches and other business development initiatives as required.
Account and Client Management:
Deliver and grow key client business in line with local, regional, and global strategies.
Lead the appropriate market account teams to drive account relationship development and strategies.
Support account teams to execute account-level strategies across multiple sectors including credit cards, banks, and airlines.
Work with regional and global resources to establish and adopt best-practice account management and business administration for all aspects of business in the market.
Team Leadership:
Align with global programs and projects and functional priorities, ensuring successful implementation of initiatives in a matrixed environment (e.g., performance management, career planning, succession planning, leadership development).
Collaborate on recruitment, development, retention, and performance of talent to support business plans and delivery.
Provide coaching and mentorship to local staff to improve individual and team effectiveness.
Ensure internal communication, cascading key messages to staff.
What You'll Need
10+ years of experience as a Managing Director, Country Lead, or senior leader in a similar-sized global company with a track record of success.
Understanding of the consumer and commercial environment in the local market.
Ability to represent and champion the group proposition with authority and conviction, earning respect within the industry.
Strong people development and relationship management experience.
Experience in highly matrixed organizations.
Fluency in English; ability to present complex ideas clearly in verbal and written form.
Key competencies: Negotiation; Flexibility and influence; People and client management; Communication and presentation; Solutions-orientation; Curiosity and relationship-building.
Ability to assess market opportunities and nurture current client partnerships to build loyalty and add business.
Well-networked in financial services and travel sectors with a strong understanding of customer engagement.
Aptitude for pitched and consultancy/solutions-based business development with a track record of landing major clients and projects.
Thought leadership to guide functional teams and ensure products and propositions fit the market as it evolves.
A dynamic and inspiring senior leader with a track record of delivering delivery, performance, and profitability on major projects.
Growth- and profit-focused with clear processes to ensure quality delivery of services.
Strong relationship and network management; able to collaborate with peers, executives, staff, and external contacts in a global matrix organization.
Excellent leadership and sales leadership skills to inspire and develop teams.
