Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Basingstoke is seeking a Senior Theatre Practitioner for a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surgical equipment, assisting surgical teams, and supervising junior practitioners. A background as a Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner is essential, along with significant experience in orthopaedic surgery. Qualifications

  • Significant experience in the perioperative setting with specialist knowledge in orthopaedic surgery.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of procedures, including complex cases.
  • Previous experience in a senior or team-lead role within theatres.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and handle specialist instrumentation and equipment in line with surgical protocols.
  • Provide skilled assistance to the surgical and anaesthetic teams.
  • Supervise junior theatre practitioners, providing clinical guidance.
