Job summary

A leading independent healthcare provider in Rochdale seeks a Senior Theatre Practitioner to join their team. The candidate will support a range of orthopaedic procedures and supervise junior staff while ensuring adherence to clinical safety protocols. Qualifications

  • Significant experience in the perioperative setting with specialist knowledge in orthopaedic surgery.
  • Proven ability to scrub for complex orthopaedic procedures.
  • Strong understanding of infection control and safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the senior scrub for a range of orthopaedic procedures.
  • Prepare and handle specialist instrumentation and equipment.
  • Provide skilled assistance to the surgical and anaesthetic teams.
  • Support the Theatre Manager with scheduling and resource coordination.
  • Supervise junior theatre practitioners and healthcare assistants.
  • Champion the use of WHO Surgical Safety Checklists.
