A planning recruitment agency is seeking a Planning Officer to assist a local authority client in the South Coast. The role involves managing various planning applications and requires relevant town planning qualifications and local authority experience. Candidates should be able to work flexibly with expected on-site presence. This position is for an initial 6-month contract, potentially extendable, with a pay rate of £40 per hour based on experience.
Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based on the South Coast in their search for a Planning Officer to join their Development Management. This will be an initial 6 month contract with possible scope to extend.
We are looking for an experienced Planning professional with recent local authority experience and the ability to hit the ground running. We are looking for a candidate with experience of dealing with a range of applications, including Householder and Minor applications.
Our client is willing to offer a flexible working situation, with an expectation of on-site and office presence weekly or fortnightly.

It would be beneficial to have a relevant degree equivalent qualification in town planning and be a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
