A contract development and manufacturing organization is seeking a recent engineering graduate to join its team in Glasgow. The role involves working on multiple projects, contributing to product development, and gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have an HND in engineering and skills in CAD and statistical analysis. In our role as a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO), we focus on the disposable component of diagnostic devices and have significant expertise with point of care (POC) in vitro diagnostic (IVD) tests. We provide full assay development services and have impressive inhouse engineering and manufacturing capabilities, allowing us to fabricate biosensors and assemble finished test cartridges; indeed, this extends to the formulation and deposition of chemistries.
Our modern facility is based in Livingston, central Scotland, less than 20 minutes from Edinburgh airport and 40 minutes from Glasgow. With a mixture of UK and international clients, we are a forward-looking organisation with an exciting future.
As a recent engineering graduate, you will bring hands-on, technical expertise, and fresh thinking to the company.
As a contract business, we work on multiple projects simultaneously; this brings a lot of variety. You will contribute to customer specific contracts (developing and manufacturing diagnostic products on their behalf) and work on internal development programmes. This will also see you contributing to the development of new products and processes using design control process.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will spend the first 12 months of a 24 month development plan within our manufacturing and operations area, developing hands on experience learning our manufacturing processes. The latter 12 months will provide an opportunity for you to spend focused time in key areas of the organisation immersing in product design, product development, process engineering, and CAD, with the purpose of becoming a fully rounded expert in the manufacturing process of POC diagnostic test consumables. We will provide the opportunity for immediate learning to allow you to be contributing effectively to the business from the start.
