Overview

We are looking for an experienced full-time Activities Co-ordinator to join our specialist care home Berkeley Village in Bamber Bridge, Preston.

Responsibilities
  • Plan a programme of varied group and/or individual events following discussions with residents, staff & relatives; gain approval where required. Publicise & communicate the programme to ensure all residents have access.
  • Run all events on the programme with regard to resident safety, comfort & enjoyment; group events may include craft classes, music, films, quizzes, bingo, reminiscence, entertainment, etc.
  • Accompany residents on outings, ensuring adequate provision of care staff and that all safety standards are met, particularly with regards to mobility.
  • Keep records of all finances associated with the programme; ensure they are in keeping with the agreed budget. Manage supply of all equipment.
  • Attend to individual residents’ social needs, including 1:1 private conversations, letter writing, reading and assisting with the pursuance of individual hobbies or interests.
  • Any other reasonable task requested by a supervisor or manager which is within your competence.
  • Deliver quality wellbeing support plans that ensure everyone is treated with dignity and that individuals’ rights to privacy, independence and choice are met.
Requirements
  • Experience is required for this position.
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
