A leading quantitative finance company based in London is looking for a student for a Network and Security Engineering placement from July 2026 to July 2027. The role offers hands-on experience in a high-performance engineering environment, focusing on monitoring and maintaining network infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity for a student currently undertaking a sandwich degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, Cyber Security, Networking or a related field, to spend a year embedded in a high-performance engineering environment.
You will join our Network and Security Engineering team, responsible for supporting and maintaining G-Research’s enterprise and global data centre network. Working alongside experienced network engineers, you will gain hands-on exposure to enterprise and data centre infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on monitoring, automation, and incident response.
This role offers real responsibility and the chance to contribute to the operational stability and efficiency of our core network systems, while developing skills across areas such as routing, tooling, automation, and infrastructure operations.
