Overview

Position: Area Retail Manager (Nottinghamshire) Salary: £24,440.83 Per annum Hours: 30hrs per week over 4 days (to include some Saturdays and Bank Holidays) Location: Covering Nottinghamshire/Lincolnshire Area with a base of Jerry Green Dog Rescue, Warsop Lane, Mansfield, NG21 0PG

Do you love dogs and want to use your retail skills to make a real difference? Jerry Green Dog Rescue is expanding our charity shops, and we’re looking for an Area Manager to join our brand-new team. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your passion for people, retail, and animal welfare – raising vital funds to support dogs on their journey to safe, loving homes.

As an Area Manager, you’ll work closely with the Head of Retail to:

• Lead and support shop managers and volunteers across your area
• Drive sales and profitability to fund essential care
• Ensure compliance with charity retail standards and policies
• Recruit, train and develop staff and volunteers
• Promote sustainability through donated goods and ethical retailing
• Build strong local relationships and represent our charity values

This is an exciting time to join our retail team. With a five-year expansion strategy including, innovation and best practice, you’ll be part of a growing department making a genuine impact for dogs who need us most.

There are 6 existing shops in this area with a view to grow to 10 over the next year

We’re looking for someone with previous retail experience who can achieve targets, but who is also customer-focused, with the confidence to lead a team and the motivation to drive results. Above all, you’ll share our belief that every dog deserves kindness, compassion, and a home of their own.

This role will be vital in leading the new people strategy that promotes, kindness, values, honesty and purposefulness across the organisation, supporters and community.
