A leading flow control technology firm in Glasgow is seeking a Procurement Lead to manage and provide leadership to Buyers. This role involves overseeing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in strategic sourcing, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain / Procurement in the Cathcart facility, the Procurement Lead is responsible for managing and providing leadership to the Buyers by overseeing the day-to-day operations to ensure purchase orders are placed in a timely manner and all associated activities are managed to maintain project delivery and customer requirements in a cost effective and timely manner.
The Procurement Lead will also provide recommendations for source selection in support of bid and proposal activities and will ultimately be responsible for the execution of project sourcing strategies, including specific business and process improvement initiatives.
The role will also be required to manage supplier relationships and the supply chain to support internal/external stakeholder requirements and provide appropriate metrics and reports as required by the business to ensure procurement operations align with project requirements and organisational goals and objectives.
