About The Role

Join the RAC and become a pivotal part of our inspections team as a Vehicle Inspector. Whether you\'re a newly qualified mechanic or an experienced technician, this role offers a unique opportunity to advance your automotive career within one of the UK's most trusted brands.

We offer a range of flexible shift patterns, including Monday to Friday, Saturday to Wednesday, and Wednesday to Sunday. All patterns include rostered additional rest-day working, giving you greater flexibility to balance work and life.

As a Vehicle Inspector, you\'ll be responsible for:

• Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template
• Completing used vehicle condition reports
• Collaborating with team members to maintain daily site inspections
• Engaging with customer contacts to ensure high-quality service delivery

What we\'re looking for

To excel in this role, you must have:

• An NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
• An understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous)
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels
• A full UK driving licence
