A community health organization is seeking individuals to join an advisory council focusing on mental health and addiction. Candidates must be over 16 years and possess lived experiences related to the issues. This role involves monthly meetings where members discuss policies and provide insights based on their experiences. Participants will contribute to the betterment of services while developing their skills in a supportive environment. Flexible remote participation is available.

The CFAC is an important initiative at AMHS-KFLA that harnesses the expertise of lived experience by providing clients and their loved ones with a voice and opportunity to influence services at the agency. This advisory council supports the improvement of services, the development and advancement of new initiatives, and ensures that we continue a client-centred approach to care.

Members of the CFAC will meet regularly to discuss and advise on matters of policy, program implementation, and the client experience at AMHS. The council frequently discusses matters in the community and the impact on our clients and agency. This group is a solution-focused advisory initiative.
As someone with lived/living experience or has experiences with loved one(s) you bring important qualifications to CFAC. Participants will gain opportunities to share and build their skills, as well as impact the services delivered in our community.
