An independent garage in Kidderminster is seeking an Apprentice Autocare Technician to join its team. This opportunity allows you to advance your career in the automotive industry while receiving hands-on training and support. You will learn to perform vehicle servicing and diagnostics, ensuring you gain the necessary skills for a successful apprenticeship in a practical environment. Ideal candidates are eager to learn, dedicated, and ideally hold GCSEs in Maths, English, and a Science or Technical subject.
Hours will be 8:30am - 5:30pm Tuesday to Friday, and 9:00am to 4:00pm on Saturdays 38 hours total.
No Weekends or bank holidays
25 days annual leave + bank holidays
GTG Training are recruiting for an Apprentice Autocare Technician on behalf of an independent garage. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who are ready to advance their career within the automotive industry.
The Modern Apprenticeship Programmes allow apprentices to work full time and earn while they learn, putting theory into practice within a training environment.
In addition to attending the training centre for week block release training, regular assessment and reviews will be undertaken within the apprentice's own workplace to ensure they acquire the required skills for successful completion of the apprenticeship.
You will be based within the garage workshop and will be involved in learning all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance, including vehicle servicing, MOT preparation, removal, replacement and overhaul of major components and electrical fault diagnostics.
Regular assessment and reviews will be undertaken within the apprentice's own workplace with dedicated mentors from GTG and the apprentice’s workplace, which aims to ensure they have the required skills to successfully complete their apprenticeship.
Youwill train through GTGWolverhampton, by attending block release training weeks,toLevel2 Autocare Technician or Level 3MotorVehicleService andMaintenanceTechnician.
GCSE Level or above in Maths, English and a Science or Technical subject or equivalent.
We are looking for candidates who want to kickstart their career in the automotive industry and who are keen to learn. You must be dedicated and have a proactive approach to your work and learning. You are able to prioritise and work to timelines. A willingness to work in a practical environment using your own initiative. A full UK Driving licence is not essential but preferred.
