A leading training provider in England is looking for an Apprentice Autocare Technician. This role offers hands-on experience in vehicle repair and maintenance in a garage workshop. Apprentices will participate in a Modern Apprenticeship Program, gaining practical skills while learning through block release training at GTG. Ideal candidates should have GCSEs in Maths, English, and a Science or Technical subject, alongside a proactive approach to work. A full UK driving license is preferred but not essential.
Monday to Friday 9-6 Saturday 9-2pm (Not every Saturday)

GTG Training are recruiting for an ApprenticeAutocare Technicianon behalf of an independent garage.This is a fantastic opportunity for those who are ready to advance their career within the automotive industry.
The Modern Apprenticeship Programmes allow apprentices to work full time andearn while they learn putting theory into practice within a training environment.
As well as attending the training centre for week block release of training, regular assessment and reviews will be undertaken within the apprentice's own workplace which aims to ensure they have the required skills to successfully complete their apprenticeship.
What Might a Typical Day in this Job look like?
You will be based within the garage workshop and will be involved in learning all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance, including vehicle servicing, MOT preparation, removal, replacement and overhaul of major components and electrical fault diagnostics.
Examples of the units covered are:
Materials, fabrication, tools and measuring devices used in the automotive environment
Inspection of light vehicles
Diagnosing and rectifying chassis units and components
Diagnosing and rectifying vehicle engines andcomponentfaults
Ensuring your own actions reduce risks to health and safety
Contributing to workplace good housekeeping
What will I learn?
Regular assessment and reviews will be undertaken within the apprentice's own workplace with dedicated mentors from GTG and the apprentice’s workplace, which aims to ensure they have the required skills to successfully complete their apprenticeship.
Youwill train through GTGWolverhampton, by attending block release training weeks,toLevel2 Autocare Technician or Level 3MotorVehicleService andMaintenanceTechnician.
What qualifications or qualities arerequired?
GCSE Level or above in Maths, English and a Science or Technical subject or equivalent
What personal qualities arerequired?

You must be dedicated and have a proactive approach to your work and learning.
Youare able toprioritise and work to timelines.
A willingness to work in a practical environment using your own initiative.
A full UK Driving licence is not essential but preferred.
