The Opportunity

You will be responsible for the Global Network including all infrastructure, the network team and the supporting global networking infrastructure.

The Senior Manager, Infrastructure & Operations will also be responsible for the security and availability of all business‑critical application (e.g. Rancher environment, Kubernetes, ICANN, SFTP, View) as well as IT support applications (e.g. ITSM, MDM, Monitoring, CMDB).

Key Accountabilities

• Leadership and management of the technical teams that support the technology and understand of the wider implications on IT and the wider business.
• Creating a creative and engaging working environment where all the team are appreciated for their contribution.
• Working collaboratively with IT SLT, business partners, project delivery/PM, and all colleagues in Escode.
• Providing and structuring the correct level of support for the technology in scope (e.g. 24x7, on-call etc).
• Deliver projects and programmes to improve the technology of the business.
• Developing backlogs, roadmaps, and strategies for the technology within Infrastructure.
• Ensure that roadmaps and strategies are in place for all key technology areas to support business growth and other key objectives.
• IT Risk register ownership for infrastructure risks, including the tracking of progress against risk items.
• Change Management process ownership for infrastructure and ensuring that that Change Advisory Board process and approvals are followed.
• Ensure IT disaster recovery plan is kept up to date and tested annually.
• Ensure that digital and technology operations are effective through proactive monitoring and reporting, including management reporting to identify and resolving gaps.
• Performs reactive root-cause analysis & pro‑active trending to reduce further incidents within the scope of the team.
• Ensuring the data is accurate for the technology in core systems of record (e.g. Register of Technology and Services, ITSM tool, CMDB).
• Responsible for attaining all relevant organisations related accreditations globally, e.g., Cyber Essentials+, ISO27001 etc.
• Acts as an escalation point for any service issues within the scope of the team
• Stays abreast of industry and technology trends as well as emerging tools and techniques relevant to the role.
• Hands‑on experience of working in a technical environment.
• The ability to develop and deliver a technology roadmaps strategy that aligns with a business strategy.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to all levels of an organisation.
• Understand core IT policies, standards and processes and their importance in delivering a good service to the business.
• Stakeholder management across the organisation and within a global function.
• Management and leadership experience of technical teams.
• Excellent relationship management, you can identify important stakeholders and relationships and work with teams to build these. You understand how to work with stakeholders and contribute to improving these relationships.
• User focus, you have an awareness or understanding of user experience and its principles. You can see the purpose of user stories and focus on user needs.

You must be willing to travel to Escode office locations globally and stay away from home on occasion.

You will have strong experience/knowledge with:

• Cloud Native Services within Azure/AWS

Experience/knowledge with one or more of the following technologies would be desirable but not essential:
