Qualifications

Daddy Shark Swim School is an award-winning, family-run swim school delivering high-quality Swim England lessons to children aged3 months to 11 years, and some adults, across Ormskirk, Southport and St Helens.

The Role

We’re looking for acaring, confident and enthusiastic Swimming Teacherto join our friendly and supportive team.

This role focuses primarily on teachingchildren aged 4–11 years, following the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme. There is also the opportunity to train into baby and pre-school teaching if this is of interest.

You’ll deliver structured, engaging lessons, support swimmers to progress at their own pace, and build positive relationships with both children and parents.

What You’ll Do
  • Deliver high-quality Swim England lessons to children aged 4–11
  • Teach in small groups and 1:1 settings
  • Support swimmers’ confidence, technique and progression
  • Monitor and record progress, providing clear feedback to families
  • Maintain high standards of safety, safeguarding and professionalism
  • Work collaboratively as part of a close-knit teaching team
Requirements

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • Swim England Level 2 Teaching Swimming qualification (or STA equivalent)

(Training can be provided for the right individual)

  • Enhanced DBS check (we’ll cover the cost if needed)
  • Safeguarding certification (we’ll cover the cost if needed)
  • Lifeguarding or relevant safety qualification
  • Availability to work evenings (up to 8pm) and weekends – essential
Desirable (but not essential)
  • Baby & Pre-School teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching children in a leisure, sports or education setting
  • Experience supporting swimmers with additional needs
