Responsibilities & Duties
- Plan and carry out swimming lessons to increase customer skill and confidence.
- Provide feedback to customers to help them improve their swimming skills.
- Ensure customers are aware of the risks in the water and build confidence to overcome any barriers.
- Beat your targets.
- Run a safe and clean activity, taking care of the resources needed to deliver the services on offer.
- Pitch in as needed to help your centre, your manager, your colleagues.
- Promote our values and expectations.
- Support your colleagues.
- Commit to your own development.
- Take part in company training programmes.
- Provide feedback so we can continually improve.
- Respect the privacy rights of customers and colleagues.
- Take responsibility for your performance.
- Take an active interest in the company and your centre.
- Follow company policies, procedures and systems.
- Follow the emergency response plan.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience instructing groups of mixed age and abilities.
- Knowledge of the National Plan for Swimming Teaching.
- Good oral communication and interaction skills.
- Flexible approach to working hours including days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
- Willingness to achieve the NRASTC Light qualification (provided by Halo).
- Eligibility: qualified Swimming Instructor (STA Award/Certificate or SEQ Level 2) or willing to obtain STA Award.
