Job description
Key Responsibilities:
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work as part of a cross-functional team across various industries to help companies navigate and respond to the evolving landscape of ESG, sustainability, and decarbonization policies, regulations, and business risks.

  • Strategy Development: Oversee the analysis of corporate activities and provide strategic recommendations to improve their ESG/sustainability frameworks, methods, and tools, supporting clients in achieving their sustainability goals.

  • Program Development and Reporting: Lead the development of sustainability/ESG programs, including materiality assessments, stakeholder engagement, peer benchmarking, gap analysis, and KPI identification aligned with common sustainability standards (e.g., GRI). Prepare internal and external sustainability reports.

  • Team Supervision and Guidance: Supervise engagement teams during fieldwork—data collection, analysis, and documentation. Review, edit, and proofread narrative reports and presentations of findings and recommendations.

  • Client Relationship Management: Support team leads in managing client relationships, business development, and creating thought leadership pieces. Contribute to internal training and the development of ESG-related content.

  • Data Review and Analysis: Analyze sustainability data, including benchmarking, regulatory developments, and market trends.

  • Project Management: Oversee day-to-day project execution, maintain quality standards, manage budgets, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Team Development: Mentor junior team members, support their skill development, monitor their performance, and assist in their career growth.

  • Adaptability and Learning: Demonstrate the ability to quickly understand and apply concepts outside of your primary area of expertise.

Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in ESG, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or related field.

  • Understanding of key sustainability concepts and frameworks such as:

    • Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)

    • Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)

    • Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB)

    • Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

    • United Nations Global Compact (UNGC)

    • Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001)

    • Social Return on Investment (SROI)

    • Energy standards like ISO 50001

Experience Requirements:
  • 4–5 years of work experience in sustainability consulting or a related field.

  • Proven expertise in developing ESG/sustainability programs, conducting assessments, and delivering strategic recommendations.

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.
