About the Role - PSV/HGV Mechanic

Do you want to be part of our energetic team of HGV/PSVengineers and maintenance staff repairing our fleet of buses? If yes, then this Skilled Mechanic position at our Worcester depot could just be the job for you! It offers technical up-skilling with the potential to gain experience working on our state-of-the-art electric vehicles and plenty of career progression.

The successful candidatewill be responsible for the following duties:

• Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement
• Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used
• Carry out vehicle servicing and routine vehicle examinations using hand held data capture devices if applicable
• Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries
• Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair

Location: Worcester, Padmore Street, WR1 2PA

Hours: 39 per week on a rotating shift pattern of early and late shifts 5 over 7 days - weekend premium rate for any weekend working

Pay: £18.76 per hour and pay increase due for April 2026 + £3000 NEW RECRUIT JOINING BONUS!!!

About you

• Do you have a minimum of Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualification as an HGV/PSV mechanic?
• Do you have a flexible approach to working hours?
• Must have a valid UK driver's licence and the ability to obtain a PCV license (we will help you achieve this)
• Experience of working with buses & coaches would be an advantage, but any vehicle mechanic experience will be considered
