We’re looking for a dedicated, proactive, and safety-conscious Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our Landscape Services team. In this hands‑on role, you’ll carry out a variety of outdoor maintenance duties — from grass cutting and border work to hedge trimming and maintaining school sports fields. What you’ll be doing

• Carrying out grounds maintenance tasks including grass cutting, border work, hedge trimming, and sports field upkeep
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety practices
• Conducting safety checks on equipment and reporting any issues
• Using equipment and materials safely, following best practices
• Delivering excellent customer service and representing Landscape Services professionally
• Liaising with clients to address any concerns and resolve on‑site issues
• Supporting additional operational needs such as snow clearing or managing flooded areas, when required

What we’re looking for

• Experience in grounds maintenance or a similar outdoor role
• Knowledge of horticulture and safe operational procedures
• Demonstrable experience with mowing and grounds care equipment
• Basic machinery maintenance skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A self‑motivated, reliable individual with a strong work ethic
• Ability to travel to and from Tonbridge for work
• A Full (Clean) Driving Licence
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (carried out by us)
