Job summary

A leading public sector services provider in Bridgwater is looking for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to ensure public spaces are well-maintained and safe. You will carry out essential tasks like grass cutting, hedge trimming, and routine maintenance, while collaborating with other teams to keep the areas inviting. Candidates must have grounds maintenance experience, attention to detail, and a full driving license. This is a full-time temporary position with a pay rate of £13.29 per hour.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in grounds maintenance or similar position.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently when needed.
• A full driving license is essential.
• Own steel-cap work boots required; all other PPE will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grass cutting, strimming, and hedge trimming to maintain parks.
• Ensure general site tidiness to keep public spaces clean and welcoming.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including planting and weeding.
• Collaborate with other teams on maintenance projects.
