Job summary

A regional health service provider is seeking a Senior Mental Health Liaison Practitioner in Salisbury. This role involves assessing young patients' mental health needs and providing vital clinical support. Acting within a multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to patient care and management within the hospital setting. Qualifications

  • You must have prior experience as a Band 5, or equivalent, Mental Health professional.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policy and procedures is essential.
  • Experience in multi-agency settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess young patients with mental health needs at the district general hospital.
  • Provide day support and consultation to hospital staff.
  • Deliver training for CAMHS and hospital staff as required.

Skills

Knowledge of mental health and community care legislation
Assessment of mental health risks
Recovery Focused Practice
Experience with children and young people

Education

RMN/OT/Social Worker with mental health training
Current registration with relevant professional body (NMC, HCPC)
Evidence of continuous professional development
