A leading research university in Brighton is seeking an experienced administrator to join the Anatomy team. Brighton and Sussex Medical School is seeking an experienced administrator to join the BSMS Anatomy team and support the delivery of high-quality teaching and research. The Anatomy team provides teaching to over 400 medical students and more than 1,000 allied health students and trainees each year.
You will support the provision of anatomy teaching and research for students and clinical faculty and will, at times, be required to enter the Dissecting Room, a licensed premises under the Human Tissue Act. The role also includes coordinating external courses using the facilities and supporting NHS-based teaching staff.
You will be an enthusiastic and reliable individual with good common sense and a positive, proactive approach to your work. You will have strong record-keeping skills and a high level of attention to detail, enabling you to manage tasks accurately and efficiently.
You will be able to demonstrate well-developed communication skills and will be confident working independently, while also contributing effectively as part of a team. You will be willing to support a range of activities across BSMS, demonstrating flexibility in responding to service needs. This will include providing general administrative support to wider BSMS staff and, when required, assisting with activities such as invigilation and volunteering at OSCEs.
