Job description

A well-established UK pensions consultancy is seeking an experienced Actuarial Director to join its Glasgow-based actuarial team, supporting a diverse portfolio of UK DB pension schemes. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a Scheme Actuary who enjoys combining client leadership, business development and people management, while continuing to deliver high-quality actuarial advice in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and strategically manage key DB pension scheme client relationships
• Oversee delivery of actuarial advice, implementation of recommendations and fee agreements
• Drive business development by contributing to business planning, expanding client portfolios and identifying new opportunities
• Play a central role in people management, including setting objectives, supporting development, and contributing to recruitment and retention
• Act as a senior ambassador for the business within the wider pensions market

Qualifications

• Experienced UK pensions actuary with deep knowledge of the DB market
• Holder of a Scheme Actuary Practising Certificate (IFoA) (preferable)
• Strong understanding of the current pensions and consulting landscape
• Proven experience managing and developing people
• Commercial mindset with the ability to grow and sustain long-term client relationships
